Affekteer drapeernette pruimkwaliteit?
Daar is ’n toenemende konsensus onder tegniese raadgewers dat beskermende nette noodsaaklik raak om Klas-1 uitpakke van sommige pruimkultivars te maksimeer. Meeste produsente het tans permanente of intrekbare oorhoofse nette maar dit is ’n duur opsie en moeilik om in bestaande boorde te implementeer.
Drapeernette mag moontlik ’n koste-effektiewe alternatief tot oorhoofse nette wees en leen hulself tot gebruik in gevestigde boorde. Daar is egter min inligting beskikbaar oor die gebruik van drapeernette in pruime. Om hierdie leemte aan te spreek, ondersoek ’n Hortgro-befondsde studie die eksterne en interne vrugkwaliteit in twee pruimkultivars onder drapeernette.
